Notes

  • LCD turns off automatically when lid closes, independent of software, much unlike some other notebooks
  • power button ignores presses when lid closed
  • had to patch ACPI code to be able to control backlight brightness
  • had to put ataidle -P 0 /dev/ad4 into rc.local

FreeBSD

Everything works great on current, except memory stick reader (untested, SD cards work great) and built-in webcam.

3D acceleration is unavailable for now. Couldn't get suspend-to-ram work, but didn't try hard.

Todo

  • get rid of cd-rom (disconnect or remove)
